On Yore Side

Rain is warm and full of rest,  dripping slowly from the trees
Washing down with every breath, from head to chest to tail to knees
And then on down through foot and toe to wet in waves the ground below
And as you sink on down in sleep, you find a place that’s warm and deep
Your heart in time with every word, what you’ve felt and what you’ve heard….
Heavy as your eyelids grow and every part from head to toe,
And golden light lilts softly down, sinking through into the ground…..
