Kurt Vonnegut

I was saddened to hear this morning that one of my all-time favorite authors died today, the great Kurt Vonnegut. I read at least five of his books in highschool, and have reread Player Piano several times since then. His first work, it is an excellent social criticism and science fiction novel, as well as an early beginning mark for post-modernist literature. I’ve also enjoyed stumbling across his essays through the years, and will miss his brilliant sarcasm and profound observances about history, society, and culture. So long, Mr. Vonnegut! May your words and works remain always “unstuck in time!”
