On Yore Side

Hi Folks!

Be Kind to Animals week is May 1 through 6 or May 6 through 13, depending on what organization you harken to, but to us it’s Be Kind To Animals TWO Weeks because we’re celebrating BOTH of them!

For the first two weeks in May, we will be donating a full %50 of all royalties from online sales of The Other Side of Yore to www.AmphibianArk.org to help save frogs and other amphibians from extinction.

In case you don’t know, a mysterious illness called chytrid fungus has been decimating populations of frogs and other amphibians all over the world, and an international organization called the Amphibian Ark has been formed by zoos, museums, scientists, and conservationists to study the fungus and save those species that are affected by what is now being called “amphibian decline.”

This threat is serious, and the fate of amphibians world-wide has been likened to that of the dinosaurs unless something is done. Because global warming has been cited as a sister cause of amphibian decline, and since amphibians are considered a good indication of the world’s health as a whole, it is extremely important to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.

Since Frawg saved his environment from a mysterious illness in “The Other Side of Yore,” it is only right that he should do what he can to save his species from a similar but actual illness in real life.

 In order to make sure that all online purchases within the two first weeks of May are counted, we must ask customers to send us a receipt of the purchase. Otherwise, we have no way of knowing when the purchase was made.

If you decide to take this opportunitty to grab yourself up a copy of The Other Side of Yore and at the same time do a great deal to forward an extremely worthy cause, please save your receipt and send it to :

Purchases made on Amazon.com, bn.com, booklocker.com, and all other online book stores will all be counted, as long as the  purchased copy was NEW. We generally receive royalty checks three months after a sale, so please try and have your receipts in by late July so that AmphibianArk will obtain it’s funds as quickly as possible.

 We encourage you also to visit AmphibianArk.org to learn more about Amphibian Decline, and, if you are able, to donate or lend a hand to the cause. Donations are tax deductable to most US citizens.

Whether you’re able to buy a copy of The Other Side of Yore now or later, remember that we always donate a small percentage of the royalties to this special cause. During special promotion and fund raising weeks, we just donate a whole lot more!
