Cast of Characters

Frawg- The hero of our story, Frawg is a vegetarian travellin’ frog, who collects flora and fauna for trade in the cities of Terramore.  He was once a scout in the Great Territorial Wars.  Frawg has a degree in botony from the Frogtown Institute of Giant Knowledge.  He lives and travels in a sail boat, which he fashioned from an abandoned tortoise shell.

Buzz-  Buzz is a dragonfly who has gone on a quest to discover why flowers have become scarce in the land of his people.  He is saved by Frawg from a hungry robin and an opportunistic fish at the beginning of the tale.  Though timid and careful, by story’s end Buzz shows us that even the most fragile of creatures can make a real differece in the world.

Dr. Croaks- An old and venerable doctor of Frogtown, Dr. Croaks is also a veteran of the Great Territorial Wars.  He is “the most respected doctor in all the land,” and an old friend of Frawg as well as of King Bog the Frog King

King Bog the Frog King-  An enormous frog of high birth and troubled mind, King Bog is saddened immensely by his daughter’s strange illness.  On the advise of his Wise-Frogs, the King sends Frawg on a jouney into the depths of Mudgunkland to learn what the source of the wicked smog might be.

Princess Lilypad- Daughter of Bog the Frog King and heir to the throne, the princess has fallen ill beneath the power of Cabraxas’ strange magic.  The King’s wise frogs have discovered that the sickness is tied to the disappearance of flowers in the the kingdom, because Princess Lilypad was tied to nature on the day of her birth.  She is also the most beautiful amphibian that Frawg has ever seen….

General Ribbit-  King Bog’s most trusted emmissary and chief, it is General Ribbit who leads the kingdom’s army of frogs and toads into battle on his mighty war-chicken.

Leapin and Hoppin-  The King’s High Guard is made up of the famous brothers Leapin and Hoppin.  Both mighty toads-at-arms go with Frawg on his journey into the desolate swamps of Mudgunkland.

Slink-  the weasel who serves as Frawg’s steed, and is an an expert thief as well.

Stubby-  The silent but stubborn armadillo who carries both Leapin and Hoppin into battle.

General Leaf- The leader of the tree frogs who guard the Realms of Felvin on the borders of Mudgunkland.

Gordy-  A magical flying fox who helps Frawg along the way.

Cobraxas-  The Snake Lord of Mudgunkland; an evil cobra who is working strong magics to bring all of Terramore under his merciless control.

General Boa- The right-hand snake of Lord Cobraxas, and leader of the Diamondback Squadron of ferocious rattlesnakes.
